Learning Iman

There were some actions which the Sahābah (Radiallāhu anhum) practised in Makkah Mukarramah in order to establish their īmān (faith), conviction and trust in Allah Ta’ālā.

We need to revive these actions in our lives. We have to recognize the greatness of Allah Ta’āla through His creation, bring alive the love of Allah Ta’ālā in our hearts by examining ourselves and by counting His favours. We have to negate the qualities and effects that we see in the creation of Allah Ta’ālā and affirm that Allah Ta’ālā alone brings about the effects by His command, discuss death and life after death so that a constant vision of the hereafter remains uppermost in our minds, repeat the virtues of actions to develop the conviction in the words of Allah Ta’ālā and His Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) so that it motivates us to practise Dīn, make the correct intentions before and during every action and read the surahs, adhkār and duās with due concentration.

This book has been prepared to help parents, teachers and learners achieve their goal of embedding īmān into the depths of their hearts by doing these actions practically.

The outcome of this subject is for us to understand that our aim in life is to earn the pleasure of Allah Ta’ālā, the Dīn of Allah Ta’ālā must come alive in the whole world and to develop the consciousness of Allah Ta’ālā. Allah Ta’ālā is the ultimate objective in our life.

The benefit of doing these actions is that we will achieve a firm conviction in the words of Allah Ta’ālā and His Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
