There were some actions which the Sahābah (Radiallāhu anhum) practised in Makkah Mukarramah in order to establish their īmān (faith), conviction and trust in Allah Ta’ālā.

We have to recognise the greatness of Allah Ta’āla through His creation, bring alive the love of Allah Ta’ālā in our hearts by examining ourselves and by counting His favours; discuss death and life after death so that a constant vision of the hereafter remains uppermost in our minds; make the correct intentions before and during every action and read the surahs, adhkār and duās with due concentration.
